Why would Holtby want out? He's repeatedly said that Mitch Korn (our goalie coach) is the best thing that's happened for his game. And if, for whatever reason, we trade Holtby, we aren't trading Grubauer as well. He is definitely ready to get a starter's load. I don't want to give up a whole lot for Ben Bishop, who I don't think is all that better than Grubauer.

I'm not saying he wants to be traded, but if he did I think this would be a solid return for him. Regarding the Bishop trade, I was on the fence on whether Grubauer should be thrust into the starting role (especially because he has to fill in for the NHL's second best goalie right now). I was thinking, instead, flip Berra and send him to St. Louis for Carter Hutton. I feel Hutton is a serviceable backup who could start long term if Grubauer gets injured/struggles. Another option could be Berra for Peter Budaj.
