The team gets younger, therefore I think they will be worse than they were this year. NJD, LA and SEATTLE, will all be better next year while Detroit keeps roughly the same squad. Therefore we get a good shot at either Wright, Savoie or Lambert. I also belivie we select either Power, Edvinsson or Hughes this draft (future LHD)

About the trades. Im not 100% sure about the values of them and If it would be more benefitial for EDM and NYI to just buy the players out.

When all this is done, NYI will have much cap to resign their key players with, and EDM gets much needed capspace to add good depth. And Detroit gets more draft capital and therefore an even better prospectpool when its all Said and Done.

As this team moves towards the deadline, i belivie Greiss, DK65, Stetcher, Clutterbuck and Staal are good pieces to move out for draft picks.
