Get Larkin a partner at C
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DeadWingsv2</b></div><div>Detroit is not blowing up the rebuild for 1 player. Hard pass.</div></div>
The D core still consists of Seider, Hronek, Lidström, Wallinder, Hague and some other prospects. We have Ned and Cossa in net.
Up front we have Larkin, Vrana, Bert, Raymond, EP40, Fabbri and probably a center from the 2022 draft. Then we have a big supplera of forward prospects in the system. Hanass, Soderblom, Niederbach, Berggren are a few that have a real shot at the NHL. The depth can later be perfected by smaller trades or from UFA.

Look at this team and the players. Most are still Young. We have some elite players and elite prospects. Getting EP40 would make up for the losses of some current Young players and future picks. But I dont completley dissagre with you. There are many ways you can go to ”finish” a rebuild.

What if they just pay Meier
I like the tought here! I would however buy Vlasic out after this current season. SJS would save some cap and also open up a roster spot for One of the many talanted LHD they have. You also forgot to put their current top prospects into considerstion for this One, except for Eklund ofc. Borderleou, Robins, Ozzy, Coe, Knyziaev, Hakanta and the top picks from 22’ and 23’.
With all these prospects, Hertl could be a good player to sell at this coming trade deadline. He should fetch a good pick, good prospect and some B-prospects / 2nd/3rd rounders. Those 7.25m could therefore be used to sign stopgap players, to help with the development of the eariler lektioner prospects.

The Long Term Plan Part 3
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bbpagewolf</b></div><div>Nope, it’s not.</div></div>
Detroit has a RHD-side consisting of Seider, Hronek and Lindstrom. If we were to take on Trouba and his massive deal, we would Ask for futures/prospects coming along with him. Yzerman would not pay a 1st to help you with your caphell.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ichbinian</b></div><div>Why are you dumping Veleno? He's our future 2C</div></div>
I think he’ll cap out as a scoring 3C. We need to draft that future 1C in this years draft, perferbly Wright or Savoie.

Next Year
Trade Dadonov and try to resign Smith for cheap is an option. I think the RFA:s will settle for cheap deals to build the best team possible, like you’ve done here.

Could ease them of. Just make both top 5 protected or something. The scenario I see is that Stevie offers this to Adams, at first glance it looks great but the deeply rooted conditons on the picks would help out Detroit. Adams is not a good gm so😌

A man could dream
I could see DRW going after Ekholm and One more LHD in 2022 to prevent the other prospects from being put into the league to early. Ekholm is a true number 3 defenceman and would form a great partnership with either Hronek or Seider.

Honestly this team is one piece away
The only solutions for this team to get a true 1C would be to either aquire Hertl via trade/fa or trade for Eichel and pay up extra to make BUF retain 2M in salary. Both options would force MIN to trade out Dumba and Rask, as well as give up loads of Futures. I would just trade Dumba and Talbot next offseason, and then rely on the youth.

Manage the cap and get Eichel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EccE</b></div><div>A surprisingly good ACGM. I don't agree with all the values here, but great job on breaking down your thoughts and reasonings for these moves. This is an elite-level ACGM compared to most of the Eichel-trades.</div></div>
Thank you very much! I dont have a full insight on Minnesotas pool, but ive tried to catch up with Minnesota news etc to get a good picture of what a deal for Eichel could look like for MIN due to their ****ed cap situation. I also try to undervalue my own pieces in these types of ACGMs because it becomes the most realistic.
Be free to give me a more detailed feedback!

Manage the cap and get Eichel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DennisReynolds</b></div><div>Minnesota would be much better off staying the course and keeping their top prospects, Boldy, Rossi, and Beckman. With their cap situation in a couple years, those young cheap players will keep them competitive, that’s why I’m skeptical on them getting Eichel. I can’t see Guerin doing that.
They’d be much better off going after a guy like Christian Dvorak who’s be cheaper</div></div>
The thing about prospects is that they are often overrated. Part of Minnesotas core is older and dont have enough time to wait for Rossi/Boldy to hit their primes. You need to give some to get some. I know that this ACGM aint 100% perfect, but it is very well motivated and not something that ”would never happen”

Yeah i know right. Melnyk is a bush League owner and should be Forced to sell, but this ACGM is for fun. If Melnyk actually decided to spend bigger amounts of money on this team, they could become a VERY good team!

Wow. Seattle will not take on Skinners contract in exchange for one spot higher in the draft. Especially since this draft is Wide-open. You’ll have to buy out Skinner yourself.

I dont Watch Minnesota as much as SJS or Detroit, i just base these contracts and signings by their base-stats. I belivie you tho. I just think trading Dumba could fetch Minnesota a good return and capspace.

Youth and cap
Their team Made great progress this year, and would have reached the playoff if they didnt choke during the first 10-game stretch. Adding a good defenceman such as Dumba would help them reach that goal. They cant just bank on player development, that why they signed Dadonov and traded for Stepan. And their prospect pool for defenceman is stacked.

I mean you save 10+ mil for this Season and 5.5 for the next One, excluding what their cap hit would be If NYI burried them. I think NYI does this as they are prime for a cuprun in the near future before their core gets to old.

Off-season drafting 7th
Rasmussen is not a Top-10 pick talent, but hes been getting better during this season. I can see him as a future 3rd liner with both PP and PK time. I also do think that the rise of Soderblom (2019 7th rounder) could knock Rasmussen out of the team in a few years.
