Let's see: Two promising cheap Dmen for a upcoming UFA Dman who is having a bad season, a cap dump, a 90th overall pick and OK prospect. Now why would the Ducks do this?

I have to say I don't believe that these are are something that the ducks would do but they are not all that far off. I have watched Ennisfor several years and he is a top six forward that plays all 3 forward positions and a proven 20+goal scorer. He creates and I'm not sure I want to get rid of him but you have to give to get and baptiste is a good prospect not a ok prospect. Kulikov has been hurt with a lower back issue all season, I would just rather sign him to a 1 year prove it contract.

The trades are not close at all. Anaheim has no interest in blowing up their playoff team just to help a middling Sabres team for no return. Also Ennis is garbage, he was mediocre before missing 2 years of professional hockey, it's going to be really hard for him to regain his footing, especially with a team like the Sabres, thats trying to kick their team into the next gear, and Anaheim, who is already tuned for a playoff run.
