I would target a C over a Winger. Right now, if one of the centre gets injured, there’s no replacement. If you sign a centre, you can always move miller over to centre in case of an injury.

Ya, I like the idea of Wennberg or even Dannault my only concern is I'm not sure how willing these people will be to play in Van at this moment and I think Benning would have to overpay. Also, I don't think there needs to be any sweetener for Holtby. If Kraken don't want Holtby they can take Hawryluk which leaves less cap space to sign a free agent but still not the end of the world there's still 4 mil left if Benning could sign Danault or Wennberg for 6 mil.

I don't think JT miller should be a 3rd line centre, his giveaways were numerous, evident, and costly. Pushing him back to the wing will make a 3C more viable. I could even see VAN trading for Copp from WIN, he's an RFA looking for a contract after this season and will take up a protection spot. He's more defencively sound than miller and can play the wing. Seattle has a pulse on every team and every market in the NHL so they can see that VAN wants BH49 out. I can almost assure that they have called up Jim and told him that they will take him for an additional pick. The Canucks should expect to lose a bottom 6 player like ZM71 because Zach Mac is cheap, has grit and probably just needs a change of scenery.
