    Why is Boston taking on Wideman and throwing away picks when they aren't likely to make the playoffs?

    They're in a playoff spot right now... And they need another offensive defensemen for the push. They were interested in wideman in the off season, no reason to believe they wont be right now

    Boston is in the 3rd wild card spot with the most games played or 11th in the East if you filter by win %.
