All honesty, I think Seattle looks at our roster and is salivating watching our D waiting to find out which of Edmundson or Chiarot we are leaving exposed. Allen is a great choice for a backup but Chiarot and Edmundson have successfully shutdown the Leafs and Jets and both look like top 4 Dmen which are more valuable than a backup goalie.

I think the Habs are going to leave Weber exposed and offer Seattle an incentive to look at another player. It's conceivable, the Habs could also just leave Drouin exposed, which would be very hard for Seattle to ignore if there's any sign that JD is planning to play again.
