Description

This will never happen but it's different than the normal deals from the Blues.

The 1st rd pick is unprotected.

Shattenkirk resigns with the Blues in this scenario.

Blues get their #1 Center and draft another Center with the 2017 1st.

It's a lot to give up for the Avs but Pietrangelo is a franchise D.

That is an interesting deal. But I would S*** myself if St Louis actually move Pietrangelo.

So Colorado is rebuilding...and is going to add their 1st probably overall pick with Duchene.... :I

There's no guarantee of the 1OA even if the Avs finish last. One thing to consider, and this may not affect your opinion, but with Pietrangelo & EJ you have to think Barrie gets traded.

Top4 pick is pretty much guranteed, and will yield a top player cost controlled for at least 7 years. After 4 years, Avs have a late 2nd prospect/player, and you still have Patrick/Hirsher/etc. for atleast 3 more years. I'd add to Duchene to get Pie, but no way I'd do our 1st, and give a team in our division 2 potential #1 centres. Maybe like Greer/Compher/Meloche + 2nd
