No thanks. I like Kreider, but his contract is too long, and he makes a bit too much.

Why would the Avs, looking to compete for the cup, deal a roster player for futures?

But imagine having one of the few guys who could keep up with McDavid playing on his wing!? But yeah I doubt Krieder waives for anyone but Boston at this moment. Next year might be different depending on what happens with his BFF Zibanejad.

He would be amazing on McDavids wing, but not for that term, and definitely not for 6.5M. If he was making closer to 5M, that would be a different story.

They'll deal Compher and/or Donskoi long before Jost. This isn't a Tampa Bay situation either, we have the cap space.
