Description

Ottawa makes a cup run for Brian Murray by picking up Tavares.
Seidenberg is added for playoff experience and depth.
Halak is added since he might be a motivated player and he has had great playoff series and World Cup.
The Isles get Ottawa's #1 center, a hot prospect coming out of the World Juniors, a draft bust that may just need a change of scenery, a first round pick and a couple of prospects.

That is honestly not that bad of a trade. They get a center to replace him and a crazy good USA prospect along with Lazar and another pretty good prospect. The craziest part about it all, is that it doesn't hurt Ottawa as much as people think it would.

Good trade. Question is would Ottawa do Turris, Chabot, White and a 1st? Probably not.

I wouldn't give up Chabot AND White and personally I would prefer to hang onto Chabot.

Ottawa shouldn't trade them both. Trading White would be easier for them to manage, since they have Hoffman, Stone, etc. They don't really have another top defensive prospect, unless you count Ceci, but Chabot has way more potential than him.
