Thats a huge overpayment for Dvorak. Buch alone is worth all that and more.

Pretty quick Rangers decline. It sucks that a lot of Ranger fans unlike most other fanbases on here actually undervalue their own assets, it's crazy. Drop Buch/Crouse and the picks and slap on a 3rd and like Howden with Strome and you're basically there.

I think that comes from other people on here that just have an irrational hatred for the Rangers and their players. lol

Well, by the same token theres plenty of Rangers homers that severely overvalue their prospects.

The reality of the situation is we simply dont have the cap space to keep what we want (namely Buch), make the necessary improvements and retain those key pieces in the 2022 off-season. Salary cap isnt going up for a few years, so we need to be smart about the acquisitions we make. If we have to overpay a bit to make it happen, then so be it.

I mean I get that from other teams.... but then it happens from Ranger fans themselves and it's wayyy too common on here.

Also, the flat cap makes it hard to find takers for Strome and Buchnevich. Teams with space are mostly non-contenders who won't want players who they would have to re-sign in a year or two.

But there are also teams that need to reach the cap floor.

Strome could be a solid rental piece for a team needing someone on a friendly deal.

A team unable to afford a very high priced player, may be more inclined to trade or let go and pick up Buch who wont come with as massive a price tag.
