I dont like anything in this package, but it sounds like that might be all we get.

Also this is just a prototype.

Basically I want a first. A top 9 role player. (Probably need it for cap reasons). And either a B prospect or 3A or 2B center. Given what we have got out of the deal with Buffalo. I think this would wrap up ek9s time in SJ nicely

Trading Jost leaves a hole for us at 3C, which he really seemed to settle into this year. What about a prospect instead? Beaucage, Helleson, or Ranta?

Kaut probably makes a lot of sense in this package for Kane but then might make a roster hole since the money gets really tight if they dont move out more than just Compher and either Graves or Donskoi is selected in the XD.

I agree cant move Jost bc probably to make it all work for the Avs they have to rid themselves of Donskoi Compher and Graves in the offseason. Or EJ....he would have to be bought out

I do. like this idea of Kane, if Avs wanted more physicality and offensive pop in the top 6. E Kane is as consistent as they get.

The only reason I'd hesitate to move Kaut is because he could slot in on the 4th this year on an ELC deal. Better than overspending in UFA IMO. The interesting question here is whether or not this deal occurs before the XD or after it? Sincerely doubt Seattle will take Compher, even if he's exposed, so the framework for something post-XD certainly exists.

Kane with Kadri and Burakovsky would be quite the line though.

I just built a roster to see what the impacts are....its very tight and I dunno its a gamble but man does that top 6 look deadly. If Sharks retained on Kane or Avs buyout EJ, then they are rolling
