doubt that team goes far only star power with no supporting peices on the top 6 the problem with this and the oilers IRL is that if they shut down mcdavid they win

I would argue that Goodrow, Coleman, MArtinez are all supporting pieces. The 4th line was phenominal in the AHL so also support while follow what holland usually does with a couple year in the A then a shot in the NHL.

That also bring more speed and increased points per 60 over last year.

The star power up front allows to keep mcdavid and Dri seperate so you can shut down mcdavid you still need to deal with Dri's line.

HAmilton as shown by MTL this playoffs are big rangy defenseman have huge value.

they have supporting peices on defense but no other bonified top 6 players on a good team nobody but mcdavid and drai should be in the top 6 mcdavid and drai got shut down by chicago and WPG while on seperate lines and on the same lines both those teams have no defense what so ever and did well and won

so killorn is not a top 6 FWD?40-50 points every season
coleman 31points in 55 GP past 2 season. behind a very deep TB FWD group so limited minutes.
JP and Yamo are still coming into thier games as youing player.

Reason they is they had no players capable of putting up points with them.
this roster adds depth and scoring abilty to not onlu top two lines
but line 3rd line as well
only 4th is a bit of a mystery.

with all these signings, there is no longer cap space in 22-23 to extend Nurse and Jesse

how is there not. you have 16 mill in cap space
nurse probably around 7Mill.
JP probably around 3mill
Bear 2 mill
Back up will probably be one of the young goes skinner/konolov/Etc
Broberg and holloway are inserted then as well.

youmight need to dump kassian with a pick to someone but easy workarounds so not really an issue.

great thats true for many teams.
look at Toronto this year Vegas this year WPG this year
Boston this year. PIT this year. Possibly TB this year depending on tonight.

you run into a good goalie with some defense many teams are screwed.

Thats why I also improved the oilers defense here with Hamilton and Martinez
should be a top 4 that can shut down other teams decently giving more of a chance for depth scoring to have an impact.

Toronto just is not experienced enough and choked VGK choked as well Boston lost because of a injury on rask and defensive injuries TB made it to the ECF PIT lost bc of their goalie WPG got their best player suspended

I dont think EDM is a blake coleman and alex killorn away from having good offensive depth and supporting peices for mcdavid

If you want to go by that logic the oiler lost to WPG because of a hot goalie
All the stats showed they drove play and had by far more high danger scoring chances and offensive zone time just ran into a hot goalie.

You know you dont have to win a stanley cup to be a top 6 player....
But I would say they oiler have a better chance of competing in the play offs with the line up above than before

ALL in means you spend the cup and assest you have....
THey could stand pat not buy anyone out sign mid level players and just develop from with in.

Going all in MEans you spend your dollars and assets to get better.
THese move add about 100 more points per season over last season roster. as well as a franchise defenseman and a possible goalie of the future so yes that would be all in this season..
