Description
I wanted to step away from the Pens trades that are making the round and wanted to explore other potential options that may be available.

In my last ACGM teams, I've always attempted to trade Petterson to a mid-rebuilding team like NJ for a higher second rounder which people seemed content with but looking at the Jets current blue line, he may be a better fit for WPG than any other team. A lower end second rounder and a few other picks to allow the Pens to draft a bit higher seemed fair value for what Petterson could bring to the Jets lineup.

Next I got Zucker going to Seattle which seems to be a gimme at this point. A top 6/9 forward who can pot 20 plus goals a year is good value in any lineup. A shame the pens had given up so much for him but I feel like his time in Pittsburgh is over.

This next trade may seem off the wall but I feel that DeSmith has tremendous value for a team like Toronto and adding ZAR for a second to fill in the Leafs bottom forward line doesn't seem too outrageous. Toronto will either pay for a premium back up in FA or trade for one and I do not belive they value their second round for this year in too much high regards.

The last trade is to allow a spot for Friedman to have a roster spot. RUD's been great for the organization but I feel that with a new regime, some minor changes will be made that will force some depth players to be shuffled.

As for the signings, there are three major ones.

Bernier is the veteran support that the Pens are looking for to help Jarry. While keeping DeSmith could have been a good option, the trade with Toronto allows to gain a few assets all while signing a good back up who can take over in a pinch.

Hyman may very well get a whole lot more in FA but I am uncertain if teams will be looking to break the bank. I feel like I went too high on the term as 6 years is a big investment, but if it can squeeze out a few dollars off of his deal it may be worth it.

I like Raffle on the third line as he adds a bit of sandpaper to the line up without overpaying for a player like Coleman. I wouldn't expect him to pot 20 plus points but having a reliable body to round out the top 9 allows the Pens to keep rolling all of their lines for their style of play.

The last major change is having POJ in the line up. I think it is time he gets to play and having some cheap deals helps the team to go to FA and pick these players up.

Don't think the leafs do this, cause it looks bad to other international free agents if we trade Semyonov right away

I'll be very honest. I just wanted to add a depth player to bring in the minors to try and balance the players coming and going.
