He has 5 yrs left on his deal, he’s to expensive, signed to to much term, and the oilers have a Nurse extension to deal with, which will be costly, Oilers decline

Yeah 5 years left that bring him to his late 30’s. If he was the single missing piece, might be more tempting, but he isn’t the difference maker for the Oilers contending.
