Sabres aren't going to do that. Not enough value for the cap dump of Kassian and Reinhart. Deal is also very easy to beat by anyone including a lower end top prospect (like Lind Kole or Martin Kaut) and a top 10 1st in 2021.

Lavoie is a top prospect, plus Strome who was a 3rd overall pick, plus a 1st rounder in a deeper draft. Marody just led the AHL in goals and was 3rd in points. Kass is to equal out the cash somewhat. And dont forget he was on pace for over 50 points in 2019-20. All those young guys need a protector. Thats why rumors of Pitt, NYR and Boston having some interest in Kassian is making the rounds. He makes 3.2 mil not 6 or 7. Go read Scott Wheelers article on Lavoie at The Athletic

Oh God, i would too. But i don't think Holland will unfortunately. And i have Seattle choosing him over the likes of Jones, Lagesson, Marody or anyone else. The only other player i think they might select would be Kahun who i also think will be left unprotected

Paying that much on the Keith /strome trade, probably gets Chicago to retain some salary on Keith. I also don't think the value is that far off.
Probably could keep strome and not send the second to Buffalo, he played junior with Mcdavid might be able to have some chemistry again, I think it is worth taking a chance on personally. Probably don't need to sign Saad then.
I don't think you are far off in the Reinhart trade, that could go through.
No team, and especially Detroit, is going to pay a fourth for kahun, Detroit doesn't need anymore bottom six forwards.
Don't think any team is paying for Turris either, he's either bought out again, or buried.
Armia and Saad I think get more money in free agency as well.
Think the oilers protect Benson but who knows.

Well i think Detroit is that exact type of team that would take a chance on Kahun for that price. His contract would be a mil and for a 35-45 point guy thats not bad. Hes young enough to grow with the team and new enough to the league to get better. A 4th rounder makes the NHL only 10% of the time. If that doesn't make you happy then a 5th. As for Turris a team he actually excelled with, the chance of him getting reignited again is slim but possible look at Ryan Dzingle. Good in Ottawa, bad in Columbus and Carolina, good again in Ottawa. At the cost of a 7th and the low salary. Could be worth the shot

I would rather take my chances with a fourth rounder over kahun. He had one good year then as decent year then was invisible last year. Detroit has alot of players coming up to play on the wing, plus we could find someone similar in free agency, not saying someone might not pay that for him, just don't think it makes sense for Detroit.

Obviously not the most bold trade in the AGM but I promise you no one is paying for Kyle Turris
