My take on the islanders offseason

Description
Just my take on what I think the islanders of season looks like.
I'm not an islanders fan so I didn't even try and gauge signing players for the farm team.
Pretty simple off season I think. Send Leddy and Hickey to Detroit for a cap dump. The value is in getting Leddy for free and being able to trade him at the deadline. Wouldn't be opposed to sending a sixth or seventh with it but that's minor details.
I send Colorados second to Seattle for them to take Komarov.
I don't think they trade Varlamov until next year.
Unfortunately not enough cap space to resign palmeiri.
Pretty simple and boring but I think it's all they can afford to do this season.

    Wings aren't gonna bail you out for 1 season of Nick Leddy. Yeah maybe they can get a pick for him at the deadline if he's not injured or doesn't have a terrible season but that's not good enough for the Wings to bother

    Leddy isn't bad enough to be a cap dump, I feel he's worth about a fourth round pick to Detroit, fills a hole on the left side. Being able to trade him at the deadline with half salary is payment for taking on Hickey.

    Think this pretty accurate of what it's gonna look like. Bellows should be LW3 though, Johnston isn't an NHL player. And i think Salo/Bolduc play over Aho.

    Yeah I don't know enough about there prospects to know who should be playing, I figured bellows should probably be in.

    Aho is a good prospect but Trotz doesnt seem to be a fan of his.

    Right, but I think Detroit only does this if they can't get a more positive asset for their cap hit, which is probably their most valuable trade chip. A Marc Staal type trade would be more likely if the deal is out there.

    Johnston is an NHLer, bottom 6. But bellows is better than him. And I agree with Bolduc over Aho, Salo, if I’m right, hasn’t played a North American hockey game, not sure if you can put him in the NHL yet.
