If you put the 2 Chicago/Edmonton deals together I think it's reasonable. The Keith deal is probably and underpay from the Oilers side and the Strome deal is probably an overpay. I don't normally like giving up firsts but Edmonton gets some reasonably priced depth without giving up too too much.

To Edmonton: Keith (50% retained), Strome, 2nd (late round)
To Chicago: Jones, 1st (19OA) and 3rd (mid round)

VAN decline, they don't have the cap space.

Hawks wouldn’t be trading Kurashev and a second in a deal for Eriksson makes 0 sense they’d be paying us to take the contract

Ofc, and they do. We advance from 43 in the draft to 9. We take Eriksson for one year and give them Kurashev to advance 34 spots. That's exactly what Hawks should do to rebuild faster. Kent Johnson can be a good top 6 winger in a few years.

Kurashev is a B level prospect who has shown potential there’s no reason to give him up when we could get the first still without him in the trade by swapping in a lower end prospect in my opinion.

Okey, I understand. Which other prospect would you put in instead? My thought here was that I think Kurashev maybe only can get 4th line minutes and be scratched some games, and that his value will be lower next summer because of that. So I traded him now before that happens.
