Or the Kings could keep Vilardi as their 2C, and use the in cap space they would use here to get Saad. In this scenario they make their top 6 stronger and lose zero assets.

While I fully understand that, LAK has 3 top 6 C prospects, in this trade you’re trading one of the lesser 2.

Saad isn’t the player he used to be, I wouldn’t sign him but then again as a Sabres fan I want total chaos

Saad was on pace for 28 goals for an 82 game season with limited minutes, Brown was the Kings leading goal scorer with 17, Saad with Kopitar is worth the gamble (similar to what they did for Arvidsson)

The Kings just spent three painful years rebuilding, and you think the best thing for them to do is move on from their top graduate and get a restricted RFA who could demand $7Mx5 with a NTC? If there was a capfriendly deal in place maybe, but I think the Kings will be looking for legit top-6 forwards at bargins (i.e. - Tarensako, KIllorn, etc.) while keeping their prospect stable.
