This isn't an overhaul. This is you trading complimentary parts for excellent players, robbing every team blind.

which trade is "robbing them blind" I underpaid for Lindholm and Ekholm because they are expiring and likely to walk (the teams still get solid prospects and picks back) and you obviously don't watch or know hockey if you think pieces like Studnika and Vladar are "complimentary pieces"

which trade would any of these teams decline they are getting solid prospects ie. Studnika,Vladar and Zborjl etc. while all the players either want out and are RFAs or have on year left before walking in FA

Hi,

Ekholm: Debrusk isn't a prospect. He was drafted 6 years ago. He is an overpaid, underperforming player. They will do much better in an ekholm trade, especially considering his salary.

Anaheim would easily get a 1st plus for Lindholm.

2017 draft picks who haven't made any impact likely arent just going to magically become excellent players. The shine is off these guys, they aren't top prospects when they aren't NHLers entering their draft plus 5 years.

Vladar is ok, but hes still just an AHL goalie.

Ekholm: DeBrusk went through Covid and horrible personal stuff and will bounce back and NSH gets a mid first round pick for a guy who was gunna walk anyway.
Lindhom: Zborjl and Vak are still considered solid defensive prospects by the majority of people. They also get Kulman who should be a good 3rd line RW in the future as well as a 2nd and 3rd.
Garland: Studnika is considered a future 2C Vladar has very solid potential and Kase is great when healthy.

People drafted in 2015 are not prospects in 2021.
Kase has a 2.6 million Qualifying offer and is never healthy
Studnicka is entering his 5th year since being drafted and isn't a full time NHL player yet. The idea that he is a 2C is far fetched.

These are awful trades and you seem to forget that there are 30 other teams in the NHL who can offer better trades. The idea that Nashville has to trade Ekholm to Boston for that or lose him for free is misguided. Also, debrusk will need a new contract and will have arbitration rights and a high qualifying offer. Its just not good.

Studnika has been roughly a PPG in the AHL and had a bad nhl year because he was put on the RW with a struggling Coyle and DeBrusk. Kase will not take his QO and is roughly looking for 1mil for 1 year as a prove it deal. Vak And Zborjl have good value and there have been talks of Seattle wanting Zborjl instead of Lauzon. And again DeBrusk is going to bounce back for reasons I stated earlier. I have also used and seen these exact trades used with no problem at all. All these have fair value you can't tell me otherwise.

I think you're definitely in the ballpark for Garland.

Ekholm is definitely a discount but not super brutal as he's a rental (but probably still a small piece light as this gets outbid).

The Lindholm deal doesn't work mainly because it is far too easy to outbid. I wouldn't call Vaakanainen an A or A+ piece anymore so there no centerpiece for that deal.

Like what you were trying to do though. Would love to see it happen.
