Can you explain your reasoning behind the Det trade? I know Bertuzzi is an interesting player but to given up Debrusk/ Lauzon/ 1st rounder is a slight overpayment in my opinion. Bertuzzi numbers are somewhat comparable to Debrusk. Bertuzzi does have a physical side to his game that probably would fit the role better on the team. But I think Bertuzzi point production would probably be lower or around the 40pts range at the highest since he would be on the third line. Maybe you can get him on a good contract like you have him but I think there needs to be more for Boston to take that risk. Debrusk could also be a great fit in Detroit and if he preforms at high level then the trade could become a bit of a wash. Then you also include Lauzon and a first. Maybe I’m over thinking it but the trade doesn’t make a ton of sense for me. Maybe if Moore was included then I would do it because Boston as gets a bit of cap relief as well.

I see Bertuzzi as a Coleman type player. Tampa traded a 1st and a pretty good prospect in Foote for Coleman. I would probably swap Louzon with Moore now that Miller just retired.
