honestly I just cant see it

I see 3 guys Dubas could replace Hyman with

    1. Tomas Tatar
    2. Jaden Schwartz
    3. Warren Foegele

All would be cheaper to sign and especially for Foegele the selling point "you get to play with Matthews and Marner or JT and Nylander)

Still cant believe Sakic tried to offer him less than 7mill.

RNH took a discount due to having a **** season and honestly should have went to open market. 6.5m was obtainable

Those guys aren't in the same class as Landeskog. Foegele isn't proven and is an RFA. Schwartz hasn't been as good these past few seasons. I like Tatar but he wasn't great this season and I'm sure there's a reason he was a healthy scratch during the Canadians playoff run.

Sakic just opened the door for another team to make a deal.

what im saying is dont spend more money on a single forward divide it up

instead of 7.5 on 1 guy spend 7 mill on 2-3 guys who can add depth

Also I know tatar was a healthy scratch but that works in our favor. We can sign him for less and if he bounces back people are gonna be going so um why was he a healthy scratch in the playoffs again? If paired with Matthews and Marner I could easily see him bounce back

Landeskog looks like he could be a cheap pick up. He gets more points than Tavares and we could get him at a fraction the price.

Bottom 6 makes me want to throw up. But sure, it works. Good luck re-signing anyone after this year when half of your money is tied into 5 players
