Engvall at 3C makes me nervous. Worst case scenario if AM or JT get injured, we are big trouble in the middle of the ice.

Leafs don't need a one year rental the very meh Domi. No team should be giving up good futures for him. As suggested above by Ritzy, Leaf should spend cap on 3C (not Schwartz) and Engvall can be very competent 4th line centre or LWer

You have to remember that Domi scored 70 points before and his 5v5 production is that of a first liner. He adds an element of grit and flexibility with his ability to play C/W. I agree the Leafs need a 3C but who is going to be there for a respectable price? Remember Engvall-Mikheyev-Hyman was a fantastic line and this would somewhat replicate that

Oh, I remember Domi had one very good seasons ago but he hasn't been good since. And the trade is an overpayment for one year of Domi. Liljegren is expected to be a Leaf this year, and in effect two second rounder are added.

It seems as though you’re overrating Liljegren…ect. They are also paying for retained too

Why am I overrating Liljegren? Pro rated to an 82 game season, Domi had 35 point and a minus 25 last season. He just isn't that good.

Id recommend to use something better than just plus minus and raw point totals

Well those figures are more meaningful than your analysis of "grit and flexibility"
