6 | | - | | I’m pretty confident in my top 4, order not withstanding. The scouts all seem to rave about Eklund as having the highest ceiling and most skilled of all the top 10. Likewise, Luke Hughes also got rave reviews. Most scouts and “experts” agreed Powers is the most NHL ready prospect but none would be surprised if he turns out as the 2-4th best Dman when it’s all said and done. If Buf sees Eklund as a viable C then I think they go with him. Seattle, I think needs to go with a C even with Powers there. The ducks and NJ will just go with best available, and drafting your franchise centers little “big” brother doesn’t hurt. I have read CBJ loves Mctavish but I think If Clarke is sitting there, with their eventual loss of Jones, just makes sense. I also think Clarke would be best avail able at that point. After him DET is tough, I don’t think they go G, that’s the last position I expect at 6. Personally, I love Edvinsson but the scouts seem to hate him, Stevie is a wild card though so I wouldn’t put it past him. C and LD are the biggest needs and he might go safe with McTavish who probably caps out as 2C or floor as a 3C. |
