I'm guessing because ANA is retaining so much salary and that Palat is a rental, and TBL is in need of cap relief ...but I agree that TBL would get a better offer than this if they moved him. At the bare minimum they'd be looking to get their own 2nd back in the deal.

Honestly didn't realize they were retaining. But I agree on a 2nd, and probably a B prospect or a struggling player on a cheap deal. I did a mock roster with Palat going to LA for a 2nd Gundstrom and I think that's a super fair trade.
