2016-17 Deadline

Created by: claysbar
Team: 2016-17 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 13, 2017
Published: Feb. 13, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Think this makes them deep enough to make a run at a repeat. Also with getting Vancouver's 1st, that really puts them in position to get Owen Tippett and if it takes a couple more assets/picks to move up a pick or two it would be worth it.

I think it is a worse deal for the Pens.

Vancouver will say yes because they get a 4-5 D-man signed to a reasonable long term contract and Jarry will finally retire the what seems like 50 year talk about whether Markstrom is capable, which he obviously isn't.
