Well with all the Eichel trade proposals, just trying to find a way to trying to improve at C without giving up Rossi, Boldy, Khovanov, Beckman and Khus. Plus it gives the Wild a year to see what these young players are capable of. We can trade Fiala or Dumba in any trade for a C, but does that guarantee improvement. Johansen and Danault have their warts also, but just trying to improve the C position any way possible.

For sure, no I certainly appreciate trying to solution out different options and not just recycling Eichel proposals. Even if it’s not a good fit, it’s still more fun to discuss fresh ideas than trample over the same grounds.

The main issue with any attempt at getting a 1C is cap. We all know we’ll need to lean on ELC contracts for years 2-4, so I agree with preserving as many of those as possible.
