Please explain why it would be a good idea for the Leafs to trade there 4th and 5th best prospects for a backup?

Friedman was on local radio and mentioned something interesting regarding Hakstol and Dermott.

Based on what he said, I think Kerfoot gets taken by Seattle.

I think Dermott is a lot better defensively then he's given credit for. Sandin will only get better as he ages. I think it's a solid 3rd pair, I would like Bogosain over Dermott there but I think he's gone unfortantely.
