Sabres are asking for 4 assets, you are overpaying for someone who needs neck surgery and has a 10 million dollar cap hit. If the Sabres are going to retain 3 million in salary then you are talking but I doubt they are interested in doing that.

I would assume if a team worked out the parameters of a trade they would be allowed to have their medical staff exam him, so I don’t think the injury is an issue because if it is you just don’t do the trade at all.

As of today per Brooks the Rangers have not seen Eichel's medical records. Doesn't sound like they are even close and I'd be surprised if the Rangers rush this deal considering how much is on the line with Buffalo holding his medical records from other teams.
