I don't think you understand how this works. If a team takes on garbage, it gets something in return. Where's the benefit to Anaheim for taking on four useless mouths?

Come on. Ana takes this in a heartbeat. Its 1 year of 5.5 million for 2 players who can play if needed or can be sent down for a real solid prospect in salo and a former 1st round pick potential middle 6 goal scorer. I wouldnt do thid deal for the isles if bellows was taken out. LL set the market at
~5.5 useless cap = a 2nd rounder. By my calculations that means the cost to move hickey = a 3rd and komarov = a 3rd. Salo is worth significantly more than 2 3rds. Yes theyd cost a little more to move together but theres no need to do that.

Take off the homer glasses. Bellows a "potential middle 6 goal scorer"?!? He's 23 years old and has yet to crack an NHL roster. Compare him to Max Jones and Sam Steel, two guys taken after him in the same first round. Bellows is a bust. Salo isn't as good a prospect as Jackson LaCombe or Henry Thrun, and Jacob Larsson and Josh Mahura are ahead of them on the depth chart. This has nothing whatsoever to do with what cap dumps are worth. These are four useless mouths that we don't even need in San Diego.

I'm looking forward to seeing what progress and NHL impact these two future all-stars make this year. My guess is, none.

Come back to me in 5 years when bellows is a 2nd liner scoring 20 goals a season and salo is a solid top 4 offensive dman. Ill be waiting for you.
