That seems like enough for Tomas Hertl, but maybe a 2nd round draft pick will be better because Tomas Hertl was picked 19th overall in the 2012 Entry Draft.

Why would the islanders who lack any grit trade Clutterbuck? Let alone for a mid round pick? Why would the Dicks want him w his contract? That is the conundrum that ARMCHAIR GM Isles fans keep ranting about. He is what he is- He is a 12/15 g scorer / agitated /penalty killer / penalty drawer / character /locker room guy / also JT's buddy - he's worth more to the Isles than to anyone else- ITS games like @TOR where Clutterbuck was missed. Doesn't make any sense at all if your trading him this year as a roster dump. Your happy with Steven Gianta?

STROME & a #2 pick. - NOW you're talking - STROME is a bust / 5 game points streak aside / He's Softer than Josh Bailey - Where Bailey can score on JT's wing - STROME can't even do that- Id trade him just to get another soft Snow draft pick bust off the team- If we could get an actual Scoring W who isn't afraid to finish a check or isn't afraid to fight for the puck just a little/ who won't get stick checked taking too long to shoot a wrist shot when wide open but waited for the eclipse to shoot then even better.

Harmonic for JVR ? While Isles have amassed NHL Depth on the Blueline, His contract and status as a top 2-4 D-man is way overpaying for 1 yr & 1 month for JVR - Garth would never lose a trade like this and MAPLE LEAFS would not want to make this trade either. THEY probably would want less term and a prospect/picks back - e.g. JVR for Pulock & 3rd - I don't see this as a fit - Especially w TOR & NYI battling for the same spot.
