The Blues are obviously not doing that. A 31 yo set up guy (not what they need) with as much remaining contract cap as Vova PLUS 5M in retention. Not even remotely close.

Detroit passes, No spot for Komarov at least Leddy fills a hole for us Leo doesn't. And Yzerman is building a younger core group here.

It's 2.5mil retained. It's Bailey at Tarasenko's cap hit for 2 years, and the Isles taking the risk on his health.

Funny stuff. In no world would the Blues pay 7.5M to a fading Bailey (who as a set up man is not what they need anyway). Obviously. AND Bailey also has a third year of 5M to take on, which you seem to have overlooked.

And Vova is healthy now, his risk is the same as anyone's. Far less than zero chance the Blues accept this.

Okay, and? He'll be dealt on the Blues schedule, not in a bad trade on the Isles schedule. Besides, sometimes these things end up working themselves out.
