I just think that with Emelin on the first pair, they won't pass the first round. I don't know if you think the value of Kronwall is higher than that, please leave your comment on whether it is a good trade but not the exact value or just a dumb trade. Thanks!

I could see the Wings trading Kronwall, but I can't see them trading Z. He's too valuable in helping the younger guys develop on our team. IF they did decide on this trade I would be asking for your 2018 1st rounder in addition.

This is very bad for MTL. Kronwall is not a first pairing guy or a second pairing guy and probably not a third pairing guy. You would be doing us a humongous favor by taking those contracts.

Zetterberg would be a nice upgrade over plekanec but he is under contract for 5 more years and it seems like age is already catching up to him. Would be an interesting trade for both teams. Montreal gets rid of plekanec while adding a top 6 C, detroit moves a contract that could get ugly in a couple years. I don't know how much montreal would have to add to get it done though. I don't think the kronwall for emelin and beaulieu really makes the D-core stronger, if anything I think it makes it worse.
