Description

What does montreal need to add to this trade and is Detroit willing to move zetterberg?

Zetterberg is already 36 and still has 5 years left on his contract. Even though he still a very good player, how many good years does he have left? I think many teams would be reluctant to take on his contract, however given montreal's current situation I think they would be fine with trading plekanec's bad contract now for zetterberg's contract which will likely get ugly in the last couple years as well. Obviously montreal needs to add to this trade, but I don't know how much zetterberg would be worth so feedback is needed!

I'm a Montreal fan, but I don't think I'd be comfortable giving up scherbak and a 1st, Scherbak and a 2nd I could live with.

To kinda balance out the long term contracts....Zetterberg and Green for Plekanec and Petry. And since the Wings like long term contracts delete Party and add Weber.

Only way they're getting Zetterberg is if Sergachev is in the deal

Yeah right, we can pretend Weber's contract is bad but it's not. He's an elite D-man and he will only be paid $1 million in the last 3 years of the deal. When that time comes habs could ship him to Arizona or anywhere if they wanted.

Petry I would consider but the problem is Petry has a no-move clause.
