I like this deal. I thought Athanasiou would get more than this so this is good for the kings.

I'm fine with this contract. It walks him into FA, but he's worth a tad bit more.

I was happy to see AA do well with the Kings last year. On pace for about 40 points over a full season, scoring some goals again. Good for him to get another contract!

He's a short term plug for the Kings. They don't want him any longer than a year. There's better options coming up from the farm system next year.
