I'm curious, how come people keep putting Frost in a 4th liner role, and not putting our top goal scorer from last year, on a 3rd line? How does Wade Allison not make the team either?
Frost is a high skilled, playmaking forward. It is yet to be seen if he can translate his defensive game to the NHL, but placing him in a 4th line role with 4th line minutes and 4th line talent isn't the way to bring him along. He should, if he doesn't make at least a top 9 role, be in the A to play top line minutes, PP minutes, etc., to cater to his game. Additionally, Scott Laughton is clearly better suited at LW, we've tried him at 3C and it just hasn't worked. I agree if Wade Allison doesn't make the team in a top 9 role also, he should play in the A, but I think he is going to give the Flyers a very tough decision.
Farabee is a top 6 forward, anything less will stunt his growth. There are plenty of combos to make of course but it would just make sense to give our top 6 players top 6 minutes. G, Coots, Hayes, Farabee, TK at the very least. Probably Cam now too as he is our most natural goal scorer outside of Farabee and is 2 years removed from a 40 goal season. Even the last two years, one on a terrible CLB team, he was a 20+ goal scorer, over an 82 game season.
