Description

All the “that Stanley cup run the Habs went on was a total fluke. Would’ve never made the playoffs if they hadn’t been in the North, and there’s zero chance they’ll do that again let alone make the playoffs this year” people will be proved wrong IF - and only IF, they upgrade at centre.

Eichel is the prize. He’s the star that perfectly aligned to bring the Habs to the next level: grew up a Habs fan, the Habs have a hole at centre with Danault gone, Eichel wants out and probably doesn’t like Buffalo very much after this so going to a division rival probably fires him up, Caufield is a young up and coming American sniper desperate for a stud playmaker, and the Habs just simply haven’t had talent at the level Eichel provides since Kovalev (who, IMO, does not have the skill Eichel has, though I understand Jack has a lot to prove).
