Yes Nemeth would be a better 7th defensemen than Tinordi, but Tinordi probably wouldn’t clear waivers. While Nemeth and his contract would. I just have a feeling that Schneider is going to play extremely well this preseason and Gallant won’t be able to not include him on the roster.

I know Schneider doesn’t speak Swedish, but his style of play would would complement Lundkvist style of play of the likes of Fox - Lindgren. Also judging from the acquisitions the Rangers have made this preseason, Schneider can certainly make this team if he has a very strong training camp.

Nemeth might prove to not be a very good player... Most Colorado fans were very displeased with Nemeth’s performance after being acquired for a 4th round pick at the trade deadline. Some even blame him solely for Colorado being eliminated from the playoffs.

It’s very possible Tinordi out plays Nemeth skill wise this preseason, in addition to bringing an unsurpassed physical element.
