I mean the majority of hockey fans on this website probably aren’t right leaning. All of hockey fans might be a different story, since the people who aren’t as interested in the minutiae of hockey are more likely to be your average rural jock, and more right-leaning. Whereas the most active people on this website are interested in the minutiae of running an NHL team, and likely better at critical thinking than your average uneducated sports fan.

And hockey players are in general more right leaning, because of it being a sport (which attracts jocks) and it developing in early 1900s North America, which is why it is generally played by a bunch of white males.

I agreed up until the second paragraph. What about football? What about basketball? Yes, hockey is predominantly white. But, hockey players don't generally lean right just because they're athletes.

And, for people that just wanna create mock teams and trades, the people on here sure do complain about alot of political things.

Vaccinations are not political. That’s just whether or not you trust science or not, and whether you’re selfish or not. (And some people are just crazy.)

Racism and discrimination isn’t political. (Obviously)

Breaking laws that everyone agrees on like Slava Voynov and Logan Mailloux isn’t political.

Being a terrible husband and person like what is alleged about Evander Kane isn’t a political issue.

Climate change and preventing the extinction of our species isn’t a political issue. People are just too stupid to understand basic physics, or they won’t accept what is obviously true because they’ve been raised to disagree with anything that doesn’t fit their parents’ world view.

The only thing that’s really political is the Tony DeAngelo discussion, and even then, people don’t dislike him because of his opinion on healthcare and taxation, people dislike him because he has said multiple slurs over the course of his career, his father says that he uses those slurs all the time, and the political figure he supports is a racist misogynist.

But Tony D, well you're just wrong. People do hate him because of his political view. Hes the most outspoken republican in the league. He hasn't said multiple slurs over the course of his career. He got suspended once for a rule that falls in that category, but it was never confirmed what he really got suspended for.
