This is coming from a biased Flames fan, so you can’t convince me McAvoy and Fox should be higher than Tkachuk.

Haha i appreciate you saying that, because both should be without a shadow of a doubt. Also, chychrun a country mile ahead of laine. He should honestly probably be ahead of tkachuk as well.

Hart just turned in the worst season for any goalie in the cap era….not sure he’s a slam dunk for a top ten pick.

In terms of skill, Laine should probably still be number two, as he has proven he is extremely skilled, especially with his 44 goal season a couple years ago. If he gets his confidence back (and puts down the controller), he can likely revert to his form in 2018.

Carter Hart had one bad year and now he’s terrible? I don’t think so. He’s still young and has lots of time to improve, especially since goalies take longer to develop than forwards. Hart still has potential to be a franchise goalie, and can reach that potential in a couple years time.

I didn’t say he was terrible, did I? I listed a fact. He wouldn’t exactly be the first goalie to come in and tear it up and then fall apart. He also wouldn’t be the first goalie to have a really bad season and then rebound. He’s a gamble, which is why drafting him at 10 would be weird.

Laine just isn’t very good. Super skilled? Sure. Good at helping his team win hockey games? Not exactly.

The general consensus seems to be that Hart is trash, which is unfair. You can’t call someone bad after one bad season, especially when they’re young. Hart may not bounce back immediately, but he will eventually.

Laine was a key piece in the Jets’ 2018 playoff run, so yes he can help his team win. He hasn’t over the last couple years, but once again, he can get there again.

Never called hart bad. Ever.
2018 was 2018. The league figured laine out, and he isn’t effective anymore.
