Hawks wouldn't add a 3rd to that trade. Strome is a RFA and Labanc a UFA. Labanc has a $1.5M higher cap hit and a year older. Their production is not far off from one another either.

Labanc is a better commodity now, especially after last season where Strome looked bad! but Strome has a higher ceiling. I'm not saying your wrong, but this is something to think about. Especially if Chicago is out on Strome long term and remember Labanc is signed for 3 more years.

Strome tried playing through a concussion last season and saw a major fall with his numbers as such; he finally admitted to having a concussion and the Hawks pulled him out. The season prior, he was battling injury midway not to mention out with a "flu" for over a week as well. Hawks tried him at wing for 20 games and didn't go well when he returned.

That said, I don't feel the players on ice value is that far off with an edge to Labanc, however given age, cap hit and contract status Strome is more valuable even if it's simply as a trade asset.

I haven't Disagreed with you at all. but it seems like Chicago has soured on Strome and that makes his value less, same can be said for Labanc as well... this is why this trade intrigues me and why its something to think about, and you might be more accurate as well. this just made me think is all and that what this site is all about.

Lebanc a UFA. Do you not know how to use this site? 2 more years signed after this one

I have over 13K comments on this website....I think you can answer your own question as to whether I know how to use or not. The point is, Strome being an RFA, the owner of that has control over his career pretty much. Lebanc being a UFA in 3 years means that's all you get from him as an asset.

Next time, pause and think before you try to insult someone with your vast knowledge.
