Not outside the realm of possibility, but....

I think Sandin gets 2mil or more AND you dont even have enough cap space for a 19th skater.

Engvall comes back at a discount? Anderson suddenly develops into a 3rd liner in the NHL? Spezza and Simmonds stop aging? Not a single rookie?

I'd also have to think this is the defending champions, because why would you march out the same team?

I’m not sure what Sandin has done to deserve 2M, he’s been a developing bottom pair guy since he’s been a leaf

Engvall has shown nothing to be more than a 900k player, if he doesn’t take that find a free agent who will, he’s a replacement level player.
Spezza has shown no signs of aging, he’s actually improved in his later years as a leaf & Simmonds is the type of player who can check on the 4th line, he’s only in his early 30’s. Older players have shown to work no problem on 4th lines

Anderson has shown success in the NHL in the past, for 750k he’s definitely worth a try on a cap strapped team

The team is not the same, Comtios is a totally different fit and better player than we have now on the 1st line, along with Anderson and Benning. You don’t need to be the defending champion for your core to work, just like the Caps, Bruins and Lightning who stuck with their core and got it done down the line. We don’t have a rookie who can make the jump unless Amirov & Kral impress at camp, so no reason to force one in

If the cap or team doesn’t fit, Kerfoot is an easy move & replaceable for cheaper on the 3rd line
