I would love it if the Canucks could pull off those deals.

The deal with Dallas looks like something that both teams would consider.

There is no way that any team in the NHL, especially not NJ who need young forwards not old defenders, would give the Canucks a 3rd for Sbisa. As Canucks fans, we know that Luca Sbisa is a pretty bad player, with a very bad contract. Unfortunately that means that the GMs of other teams know that too.

That Nashville deal is even more unlikely. Sutter, without any salary retained, would be worth maybe a 3rd rounder. Kamenev is a top prospect and Nashville would have to get a lot more than Sutter to part with him.

Sbisa is a player that helps the Devils reach basement.

Sutter is a player that realisitically fits the way Nashville plays the game. Kamanev maybe a top prospect, but I feel he is a boom or bust commodity. We simply differ in player evaluation here.
