Team: 2021-22 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 3, 2021
Published: Dec. 3, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This just shows what Toronto would be giving up and what they would be getting back.

What is actually happening is Dallas is flipping Amirov and Duszak plus there 1st round pick to Vancouver for JT Miller and then flipping Mrazek, Richie and Toronto's 5th plus there own 5th for Colin Miller (50% retained) (Radulov would also be sent via Buffalo to retain 50% on him before he goes to Toronto)
So in the end this is what it would look like for everybody...

Toronto
Receives: Radulov (50% retained that I just added to cap)
Hakanpaa
Holtby
Gives up: Ritchie
Mrazek
Amirov
Duszak
5th round pick

Dallas
Receives: JT Miller
Collin Miller (50% retained)
Gives up: Radulov
Hakanpaa
Holtby
1st and 5th round picks

Vancouver
Receives: Amirov
Duszak
Dallas 1st round pick
Gives up: JT Miller

Buffalo
Receives: Mrazek
Ritchie
5th round pick (Tor)
5th round pick (Dal)
Gives up: C. Miller (50% retained)
Retain 50% on Radulov

that'll be a hard no from Toronto. Not a single thing coming back nets Amirov

radulov for the playoffs, defensive depth in dermott, lilly and hakanpaa for the playoffs (One of Holl, Dermott or Hakanpaa can be traded in the off season for a return of some sort). realistically ritchie and mrazek will not be on the team next year anyway if you want to resign campbell.

you know who’d be even better for the playoffs, and actually worth maybe trading amirov?

JT Miller.

No wayyy. Bet you didn’t see that one coming.

radulov has been terrible and is old, hakanpaa is a bottom pairing defender. literally nothing there the leafs would trade for Amirov.

you think you can’t keep your goalie if you trade for a certain player

So instead, you massively overpay for players that don’t make the team better.

Seems logical.
