Leafs should put in a claim on Perlini.

Rehab him, similar to Galchenyuk, and see if we can tap into his potential. If not, it is what it is and we waive him.

Yeah I’d be fine with that I watched him and hosang when they played for niagra both highly skilled players but just a bit inconsistent

they arnt bringing Ho-sang up because he'd have to sign an NHL deal and then would be subject to waivers to go back down once the team was healthy Steeves is not

I can see the Leafs making a Galchenyuk-esk trade assuming Perlini clears waivers. Can't see us carrying him on the team for a while and then just waiving him again. I doubt he clears, I really like Perlini, but Leafs probably won't make an effort to get him unless he clears, in which case Edmonton probably doesn't look to move him anyways

I love Josh Ho Sang and have been an advocate of his for a while, but at this point it doesn't make sense. When Marner gets back, then what?

i'm in the same boat. I just want to see him play 5-6 games on RW at NHL pace and see if he's got it. If he's not NHL ready just yet, losing him to waivers sucks but I guess it's not that bad cause the odds of him getting there 3-4 months later are low.
