Very good, especially for a rookie! He is a big guy that can do some big hits, and plays well defensively. He may be ready sooner than later.

Yes, 16 hits in three games is good but as soon as Keith comes back I am pretty much guaranteeing he is going back down to the minors.

General rant: Hits are such a random stat. There is no consistency in how they are counted from one arena to another, or even what counts as a hit for the home or away team.

It is also the timing of the hits and effectiveness of them as well. A guy who just goes around hitting anyone he sees isn't as effective as someone who can time their hits and spark energy in their group.

It's more about being in the correct position on the ice for me than anything when it comes to hits. Taking yourself out of position just to make a hit leads to bad things happening.

I like a heavy game with lots of physical play. I just don't like how arbitrary the hits stat are counted leaguewide.
