his team was last in the league when he got called up

still, he could not have had all of his team pulled and have won

I am not a binnington fan at all I think he is one year wonder, but that one year was HUGE reason as to why his team won the cup

Since we’re talking about rookie seasons, for me it has to be either Barzal or Makar. Raymond/Zegras/Seider could end up having better seasons but we don’t know yet, so I’m disregarding them for now. I’ll go with Makar because his offense in that season was absolutely insane for a rookie defenseman, not to mention how solid the rest of his game already was. I understand the support for Adam Fox but his big breakout came a year after his rookie season, and while that rookie year was great, it isn’t as great as what some other rookies here have done in their debut seasons.
