Garbutt will be on the opening night roster, make no mistake.

Since you were already stretching our imagination with Kruger's tiny $1.5m cap hit, you couldn't make it $1.4m just so Garbutt could fit in instead of Thomas?

Kruger was signed for 1 year. He would be signed for 2-3M long term but one year could be Option B.

Maybe Marko Dano can begin the season in the AHL until they have more cap space.
