Another prospect or swap vilardi for Turcotte (which I don’t know if I’d give him up so quickly, just my opinion)

Swap Turcotte and add another first. Chychrun is a franchise defenseman he will not come cheap

Turcotte, 1st, Grans, and Chromiak would probably be my ask

I can see that being the ask. I just don’t want to give up Turcotte this quickly, but that’s reasonable

Is Chychrun a 'franchise' defenceman? I understand a bit off the hype but now that OEL is in Vancouver and Chychrun is the #1 LHD for Arizona he seems to be struggling. If he can't handle all the tough assignments, PP1 and PK1 while thriving he isn't a 'franchise' defenceman.

I don't watch any Arizona games but have not heard anyone else call him a franchise defenceman on the sports channels so I am genuinely wondering.

He’s 23 so still developing, but has all the makings of a franchise defenseman. When he had a competent D partner last year he was a rockstar but it’s been hard to build any sort of consistency with the rotating cast of characters playing with him this year. This was always going to be a down year for him because of how much talent the Coyotes lost this past offseason.

The fact remains that he’s young, cheap, and has shown flashes of being able to play on that level already. Coyotes can’t and won’t trade him for less than that value because if he becomes that franchise defenseman it will reflect terribly on the front office.
