Laine would not work under Sutter. Sutter and Torts are similar type coaches. Plus we have enough players to resign after this season. No thank you

Flames need a player who can finish scoring chances.

Much cheaper in AAV and works under Sutter would be Toffoli

Not true, Mangiapane, Dube, and Monahan can all finish. But they have zero playmakers outside the 1st line

Mackey is a 2 way defenseman who has a physical edge in his game, making him more likely to work with Sutter's coaching style.

The last time the Flames beat a playoff team was December 3rd.
Plus the Flames havent had enough secondary scoring this season.

So? We have missed at least 3 against playoff teams due to our past Covid situation. We have played 7 out of our scheduled 15ish games since then
